Heidi’s Recipe of the Week

by Heidi

My family loves to eat pancakes for breakfast! Here is a recipe that I use all the time. It makes a whole bunch (about 75 pancakes). They freeze really well and it makes it super easy for the kids to pull them out and make their own breakfast!

  • 6 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1+1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 6 Tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 6 Tbsp. Honey (spray the measuring spoon with Pam first and the honey will slide right out)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 6 Cups Skim Milk
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce

Mix all ingredients together with an electric hand mixer and pour 1/2 cup size circles on your griddle or frying pan. This recipe can be cut in 1/3 for a family of 6 for 1 serving. I sometimes add in blended fresh fruit or food coloring for fun designs! The different colored pancakes in the freezer help us keep track of the ones we need to eat first!
